ABOUT VISHWAS MORE
I have been living in Alamo for the past 10 years with my wife Sheila. We are blessed with 4 children and 7 grandchildren. After spending 25 plus years as Project Manager and Chief Engineer for Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory and Stanford Linier Accelerator as Facilities Chief Engineer, I retired. Since then I've been dedicating my life to public service. I feel I am a person that is easily able to make change happen (when necessary) and enjoy collaboration and positive progression. I have experienced many accomplishments during my life as an engineer, as the President of the Board of Governors for California Community Colleges, and in other positions I have held.
I have extensive experience in Project Management- in defining projects, preparing budgets, designing and overseeing the construction and maintenance of facilities. As Past President, Board of Governors of the California Community Colleges System, I managed the budget of over $5.0 billion dollars which affected approximately 1.5 million students in 108 Community Colleges.
While doing all the above, I have dealt effectively with local, county, state and Federal agencies. Each project was handled with fiscal responsibility, and completed on time.
I am passionate about setting structure and policies and making sure the community voice can be heard. I believe my experience qualifies me well for a City Councilman. I ask for your confidence in me and your support.
